My name is Annie Diep. I’m an Austin native, a creative, an engineer, a nature lover, a foodie, a yogi, a life-long learner, and a UX Designer. I learned along the way that I want to help people on a personal level using the skillset that I possess. It's the reason why I'm chose to specilize in User Experience.
In my previous career as a tech consultant, I loved the pace and energy of the workplace. There was always something to work on and improve. Truely the only downside was the gap between being a consultant and interactions with the users. Those interactions were far and few, at least for me. I had to go through a medium, talking to a business analyst to get pieces of information. I wanted to be deeply rooted with users and what they were experiencing.
The turning point for me was realizing how I wanted to grow and spend my time. I love helping people, solving logic problems, and having a creative outlet. In particular, I enjoy learning and understanding how to bring these aspects together in the context of a user.
At this point in my life, I've traversed a spectrum of jobs that has strengthened me as a UX Designer with a unique perspective. I can effectively break down and solve problems thrown at me. Speak intellegently about code and recognize barriars. Read a room. Etc. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling, and taking a deep dive into my latest obsession.
